Quality
Our Quality
We operate in industries that are constantly evolving. As such, we constantly monitor and improve our courses to ensure that our learners are up-to-date with the latest information. We are a private Registered Training Organisation accredited by The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). ASQA is the national regulator for Australia’s vocational education and training sector. ASQA regulates courses and training providers to ensure nationally approved quality standards are met. In addition, we work closely with various industry and professional bodies and, as such, are required to meet their stringent recognition requirements.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the recognition of knowledge and skills acquired through work experience, education, training and life experiences.
The RPL process matches knowledge and skills to the learning outcomes of a course to determine any possible credit for study units.
If you have studied previously or have significant work experience in a particular field, you may be eligible for credit towards a new course, allowing you to finish your study sooner.
The Benefits of RPL
- Confirming competence for a workplace position
- Confirming eligibility for entry to credit within a qualification
- Ensuring that learners do not have to relearn skills & knowledge they already hold
- Reducing the amount of time required to acquire a qualification
- Ensuring that training time is spent acquiring new skills and competencies.
How Does the RPL Process Work?
The RPL process involves the candidate & the assessor working together to gather evidence to enable the assessor to make a decision on your competency. Your assessor will assist you with identifying relevant units of competency & will explain the types of evidence (proof of your skills & knowledge) required. When you have provided this evidence it is compared with the competency standards and your assessor will decide whether sufficient evidence has been provided to determine the extent to which you have achieved the required learning outcomes or standards.
How Do I Apply?
Contact our Training Managers on 1 800 702 232 for a personalised RPL application pack and fee schedule.
Collect evidence to support your RPL application. The more relevant evidence you can provide the better understanding the assessor will have of your level of skill / knowledge. Please do not include evidence that does not directly relate to your qualification.
Forward your RPL application form contained in your RPL application pack, RPL evidence and payment to Integrated Care & Management Training. When your RPL has been assessed you will be notified of the outcome in writing.
