Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) (CHC52008)
Overview
This qualification applies to workers who deliver case management and case work intervention services to clients and who work under broad direction from senior managers.
To gain entry into CHC52008 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) it is recommended that candidates have relevant work experience or qualification/s that indicates likely success at this level of qualification in a job role involving:
- The self-directed application of knowledge with substantial depth in some areas
- The exercise of independent judgement and decision-making
- The application of relevant technical and other skills.

Each module addresses a separate area of Case Management and Community Services work and will contain learning materials, a written assessment, workplace checklists and observation tools to ensure that all students complete the course with a valid and accredited set of competencies.
Duration of Study
Students are required to be employed in their chosen field of study to enhance their ‘on-the-job’ learning. They need to be supervised by a qualified staff member and working a minimum of 21 hours per week. It is anticipated students will take 12 month to complete this qualification.
